A Real Girl

All around you can see what my little brothers call “fake girls”. There are two types of fake girls. First there is the “public school fake girl” She spends her day chewing gum, shopping, texting, and finding ways out of cleaning her room.

The second kind of fake girl is the “home school girl” she spends her day, baking apple pies, sewing ankle length prairie dresses, keeping her room perfectly clean and scrubbing floors and other stuff like that around the house. She has never thrown a football in her life. That’s for the guys, you know.

These are the two kinds of girls our cultural promotes. But there is another kind of girl t. Granted she is not a girl you see often but she still exists. She is a “real girl’ but she is more then that, she is a lady, she is a woman of God.

A real girl

Knows how to clean toilets, how to fit six loads of laundry in one day, how to make pizza (and apple pie:) She knows how to throw a football, Frisbee and baseball. She knows what if feels like to have a volleyball spiked in her face and to win an argument in politics; she loves to swing dance and the Iliad. She can hold a conversion with a guy with out flirting, but can also sympathize with girls. She doesn’t just drink margaritas she makes them. She can name every Jane Austen character in ten minutes. But most importantly she has a faith in God that will never waver. She is a woman of God. She is a lady. She is a real girl.
