I stayed up last night to watch the elections. At 7:30 Hanni had to got to bed. But not before I had promised to tell who become president as soon I as possible.
So at 9:00 when I passed by her door. She called out to me;
Hanni: "E, who is elected?"
Me: "Obama was."
Hanni: "Oh no! that is so sad!"

Hanni dear, You are so right. We should be sad that our country has fallen so very low that we rejoice to see a man who gives no thought to killing innocent babies become our next president. But he is the elected President and there is nothing we can do besides pray. But don't give up hope. This also happens to be the biggest thing we could possibly do. God is the only one who has power to change this. We need to pray for him to have mercy on our country. And all the foolish people in it. But we should not give up. We have hope, we have peace knowing that Gods way is the best way and that he is showing us something and is doing this for our good.
Love you sweetie,
~Ellie

You do not have a right to complain at all! If you didn't want Obama to win you should have voted McCain! I can’t believe you! You make me sick!!! You are a disgrace to the name of christen. I will never read your blog again!!!!!!!
"in this world not of it" Lets hope you leave this world soon!
I hope you realize that you are the reason Obama won.
Dear Anonymous. I do not know who you are, or where you come from.
There are many voters who "vote their conscience," so to speak. There are many noble, God-fearing people who refuse to vote their conscience because they oppose thing(s) McCain stands for.
My parents voted for a "third man." Our vote dosn't seem to count much in our Democratic state, and I can't honestly say my family wouldn't vote for McCain under other circumstances. I am not condeming other Christians who voted for McCain, please do not misunderstand me. This is not my main point.
That said, my dad was very displeased with the kind of things the McCain/Palin ticket has said and done, and my family believes that it is not a wasted vote to stand up for a good, righteous candidate.
Anonymous, I sincerely hope you do not leave this world soon. I hope you will live to see the folly of leaving vicious philippics on the blogs of Christians who are standing up for a better candidate than the mediocre John McCain.
We have all the right in the world to complain. Foolish deluded people falling in love with Obama, corrupt Republicans, socialist folks ignoring the injustices commited against unborn children... The list goes on, Anonymous!
Elspeth's post was very gracious. She didn't bash McCain supporters, and I completely agree with every word of her post.
Thank-you for reading,

Excuse me, I made a bad error in my comment. Clarification.....
What I meant to say is there are many noble, God-fearing people who refuse to vote for McCain, because they oppose thing(s) McCain stands for.
My apology:)
